Street parking within walking distance fills up hours before the garden opens. During Hanami Nights and peak bloom weekends, the surrounding blocks become gridlocked with circling cars. Post-event rideshare surge pricing compounds the frustration. Note: timed-entry tickets ($22 adults, $16 seniors/students, free under 12) sell out 2-3 weeks ahead for cherry blossom weekends.

455 Flatbush Ave (B/Q)
Less congested during peak bloom weekends. Close to the Prospect Park B/Q subway stop. Drop-off on Flatbush Ave — typically the least crowded approach by car during Hanami Nights and peak bloom weekends.
With the Eastern Parkway entrance temporarily closed, chauffeurs stage on Washington Avenue near the 900 Washington Ave attended parking lot or on Flatbush Avenue. Washington Avenue offers the most convenient positioning for the main entrance, while Flatbush Avenue works well for the southern entrance. Your chauffeur will position at the nearest staging point to your chosen entrance and be ready to meet you curbside when you text them.
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden's signature cherry blossom events for 2026: Hanami Nights (April 21-24) and Weekends in Bloom (May 3 & 10). These events replace the former Sakura Matsuri festival, which was last held in 2019.
