Etihad Park, a 25,000-seat stadium for New York City FC, is opening next to Citi Field in 2027, according to Etihad Park. Match dates had not been published on that page as of Oct 29, 2026. Match nights will add traffic around Willets Point, and the same car service steps apply. On days when a Mets game and an NYCFC match fall close together, leave extra time and agree on a pickup point a short walk from the crowds. We will update this page when official drop-off details for Etihad Park are published.

The Mets open their 2027 home schedule with a first homestand on Apr 2 to 4, 2027, and they host the Yankees at Citi Field on May 28 to 30, 2027, according to the Mets 2027 schedule release. Those dates bring the biggest crowds and the heaviest traffic.

Mets-Willets Point is the one rail station at Citi Field, served by the 7 train and the LIRR Port Washington Branch. The MTA says an accessible exit from the Flushing-bound 7 platform opens on game days only (MTA), and after the last out the platforms fill. The LIRR station at Mets-Willets Point is not accessible, according to the MTA. Riders who need step-free travel may find a car service simpler, from door to the Seaver Way drop-off.
