Feast of San Gennaro Overview

The Feast of San Gennaro is an 11-day street festival in Manhattan's Little Italy that honors San Gennaro, the patron saint of Naples. The organizer, Figli di San Gennaro, held the 100th feast from September 17 to 27, 2026, on Mulberry Street between Canal and Houston, with food, music and processions.

The feast also used Hester Street between Baxter and Centre Streets and Grand Street between Baxter Street and Centre Market Place, according to the official feast site. San Gennaro was Bishop of Benevento, Italy, and died a martyr in 305 AD. The feast began in 1926 as a one-day block party by Neapolitan families on Mulberry Street and grew into an event that now covers 11 blocks of Little Italy.
