LGA Pickup Guide 2026: Terminal B vs Terminal C

LaGuardia’s two-terminal layout means your pickup experience depends entirely on which terminal you land at. Terminal B sends you to a parking garage; Terminal C keeps you curbside. This guide shows you exactly where your LGA car service chauffeur meets you at each.

LaGuardia Airport completed its $8 billion modernization, and the result is a completely different pickup experience from the old LGA. Terminal B (all non-Delta domestic carriers) uses a parking garage pickup system, while Terminal C (Delta) maintains traditional curbside pickup. Understanding the difference before you land saves confusion and time. Both terminals are served by professional airport car service with curbside or garage-level pickup.

Terminal B: Parking Garage Level 2

Terminal B serves American, United, Southwest, JetBlue, Frontier, Spirit, and other non-Delta carriers. Pickup is NOT curbside—it happens in the parking garage.

Pickup Location

Where: Parking Garage, Level 2, Rows E and F. This is the dedicated FHV/car service pickup area.
Important: Terminal B does not allow curbside car service pickup. All FHV pickups are directed to the parking garage level.
Airlines: American Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue, Frontier, Spirit, Air Canada, and others.

Step-by-Step Directions

Step 1: Collect your luggage from baggage claim on the arrivals level.
Step 2: Follow signs for “Ground Transportation” or “For-Hire Vehicles / Car Service.”
Step 3: Walk to the parking garage connected to the terminal. Take the elevator or escalator to Level 2.
Step 4: Find Rows E or F. Your chauffeur will be waiting here with a vehicle matching the make/model and license plate in your booking confirmation text.
Common mistake: Many passengers exit curbside expecting a car service pickup like at other airports. At Terminal B, curbside is for taxis only. If you exit curbside, you will need to re-enter the terminal and walk to the parking garage.
Pro tip: The walk from baggage claim to the parking garage Level 2 takes approximately 5–7 minutes. Let your chauffeur know when you have your bags so they can be positioned in Row E or F before you arrive.

Terminal C: Arrivals Level Curbside

Terminal C is Delta’s hub at LGA. Pickup is traditional curbside at the arrivals level.

Pickup Location

Where: Arrivals level curbside, designated FHV zones L, M, N, and Q. These zones are marked with signs along the outer lane of the curbside pickup area.
How it works: Exit baggage claim, walk to the curbside, and look for the FHV zone signs. Your chauffeur will text you the specific zone letter.
Airlines: Delta Air Lines (primary hub), Delta Connection

Step-by-Step Directions

Step 1: Collect your luggage from baggage claim.
Step 2: Exit through the “Ground Transportation” doors to the curbside.
Step 3: Look for the FHV zone markers (L, M, N, or Q). These are lettered signs along the outer lane.
Step 4: Your chauffeur texts you the zone letter. Walk to that zone and confirm the vehicle.
Terminal C advantage: Because pickup is curbside, the walk from baggage claim to your vehicle is shorter than at Terminal B. Most passengers are in their car within 3–5 minutes of exiting the terminal.

The Departures Level Pickup Trick

A lesser-known option for Terminal B passengers who want to avoid the garage walk.

How It Works

Instead of walking to the parking garage, some passengers take the escalator or elevator up to the Departures level (the level where passengers are dropped off for flights). This upper level has a curbside area that may be less congested than the arrivals level.
Your chauffeur can be directed to pull up to the Departures curbside for a quick pickup, similar to how a friend would pick you up.
Coordinate with your chauffeur: This approach works best when you text your chauffeur “heading to Departures level” so they can position themselves at the upper-level curbside. It is not officially designated for pickups, so curbside enforcement may apply during peak hours. Our chauffeurs know the timing and can advise whether this approach works for your arrival time.

Meet & Greet at LaGuardia

Especially useful at Terminal B, where the parking garage pickup can be confusing for first-time visitors.

Service: Your chauffeur meets you inside the terminal near baggage claim with a name sign, assists with luggage, and walks you directly to the vehicle.
Cost: $25 flat fee.
Terminal B benefit: Eliminates the need to navigate to the parking garage yourself. Your chauffeur handles the garage-level logistics while you walk out with assistance.
Terminal C benefit: Faster connection from baggage claim to vehicle, especially during peak hours when curbside zones are congested.

Drive Times from Manhattan

LaGuardia is the closest airport to Manhattan, typically 20–40 minutes depending on traffic and pickup location.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is LGA Terminal B pickup curbside or in a parking garage?

Parking garage. At Terminal B, FHV/car service pickup is on Parking Garage Level 2, Rows E and F. Curbside at Terminal B is for taxis only. This is the most common source of confusion at LGA.

Where does my car service pick up at LGA Terminal C?

Terminal C (Delta) pickup is at the arrivals level curbside, in designated FHV zones L, M, N, and Q. Exit baggage claim, walk to the curbside, and look for the zone letter your chauffeur texts you.

How long does it take to walk from Terminal B baggage claim to the parking garage?

Approximately 5–7 minutes. Follow signs for Ground Transportation or For-Hire Vehicles from baggage claim to the parking garage. Take the elevator or escalator to Level 2 and find Rows E or F.

Does LGA have a rideshare shuttle like JFK?

No. LaGuardia does not have a rideshare shuttle restriction. Both rideshare and car service pick up from the same designated areas — the parking garage at Terminal B and curbside at Terminal C.

How much does car service from LGA to Manhattan cost?

LGA to Manhattan car service is a flat fare that varies by vehicle type. Pricing includes tolls over the RFK Bridge. We provide 45 minutes of complimentary wait time for domestic arrivals. Book through our LGA car service page for exact pricing.

Is LaGuardia still under construction in 2026?

LaGuardia’s $8 billion modernization is substantially complete. Both Terminal B and Terminal C are fully operational with modern facilities. Minor finishing work may continue but does not affect terminal access or pickup locations.

Can I get picked up at the Departures level at Terminal B?

Informally, yes — you can take the escalator up to the Departures level and have your chauffeur meet you curbside there. However, this is not the official pickup location and curbside enforcement may apply. Coordinate with your chauffeur for timing.

Where is the cell phone lot at LGA?

The cell phone waiting lot is on 94th Street, near the airport. Your chauffeur stages here while monitoring your flight and moves to the terminal pickup area when you text that you have your bags.
