A good Los Angeles car service with car seats confirms more than “a seat is available.” It needs to match your children’s requirements, the number of restraints, every adult, the stroller and the luggage in one workable reservation. Our five-provider shortlist is True North VIP, Kid Car, LAXcar, Blacklane and MGCLS—with important differences in how each handles child-seat requests.
True North VIP is our first recommendation for planning the whole family itinerary. Kid Car publishes a family-focused offering; LAXcar restricts supplied child seats to SUVs; Blacklane’s policy is for pre-booked rides; and MGCLS advertises several restraint categories. None should be booked on the assumption that every seat type is available in every vehicle.
Publisher disclosure: True North VIP publishes this guide and ranks its own service first. This is a commercial editorial shortlist based on published offerings, not an independent safety ranking, an award or a firsthand ride test. We have not inspected the providers’ seats, installation practices or vehicles. Confirm equipment and service availability for your actual trip.
Which LA car service fits your family’s booking needs?
How we selected this shortlist: We focused on suitability for a specific supplied-seat request: a published request process or a service that explicitly plans restraint requirements before the trip. Equipment restrictions remain visible rather than being averaged into a score. True North VIP is included for written, itinerary-specific confirmation; its planning page does not establish a guaranteed seat inventory. This is not a safety test.

These distinctions matter more than a generic “family friendly” label. A provider suitable for two school-age children may not fit an infant traveling with a double stroller. The right comparison begins with your passenger and equipment list, not the star rating.
Why Lansky is not ranked here: Its services page says infant seats are not provided, and its homepage says specific car-seat requests cannot be accommodated because equipment differs by driver. That limitation does not fit this guide’s focus on arranging a particular supplied-seat configuration. It is not a judgment about the safety or quality of its other services. The five providers and what to confirm before booking
1. True North VIP — our pick for a fully planned family itinerary
Our Los Angeles family car service and child-seat planning starts with the complete request: each child’s age, height, weight and restraint needs, the adults, bags, stroller and route. That is especially useful when an airport arrival connects to a hotel, theme park or a separate return journey.
Before booking: Have us confirm the required restraint configuration, quantity, installation responsibilities and any fees in writing. Do not treat a general vehicle category or a submitted request as a guarantee of a particular seat model. For an arrival, include flight details and the traveling adult’s contact number. Our recommendation is about coordinated planning—not a claim that we have independently proven superior child-safety performance.
2. Kid Car — a family-focused option for multiple seat requests
Kid Car’s Los Angeles page advertises airport and hourly transportation and configurations with up to three car seats. It lists several regional airports, including LAX, Burbank and John Wayne. These are provider-published offerings rather than our independent equipment inspection. Kid Car Los Angeles
Before booking: Confirm whether your specific combination of seats, adults and bags fits the selected vehicle. “Up to three” does not establish every possible combination. Tell the provider about bulky strollers and review the meeting arrangement for your service tier. This is a useful candidate when the child-seat plan is the central booking requirement.
3. LAXcar — an airport option with an SUV-only seat policy
LAXcar’s FAQ states that supplied child seats are available exclusively with SUVs because of trunk capacity. It also describes an additional child-seat charge and asks travelers to select the seat type online or specify it by phone. LAXcar child-seat FAQ
Before booking: Compare an SUV quote, not a sedan price that cannot accommodate the published request. Confirm the number of seats and the charges for both directions. A round trip with different luggage or passenger needs should be checked leg by leg. Its LA offering also covers point-to-point and hourly journeys. LAXcar Los Angeles services
4. Blacklane — child-seat requests for pre-booked services
Blacklane’s help center says car seats are provided for pre-booked services and directs customers to add the child’s age and weight in the chauffeur notes. It describes the seat as included without an extra charge. Its Los Angeles page offers one-way and hourly bookings. Blacklane child-seat policy, Los Angeles service
Before booking: Keep the distinction between a scheduled reservation and an on-demand ride. Confirm the seat quantity, vehicle fit and acknowledgement of the request before travel. Do not assume that a policy about pre-booking applies to every product carrying the same brand.
5. MGCLS — published infant, forward-facing and booster options
MGCLS’s FAQ advertises rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing seats and boosters on request without an additional seat charge. It asks for the child’s age, the requested type and the number of seats, and says the chauffeur installs the seat before pickup. MGCLS family transportation FAQ
Before booking: Ask the provider to confirm the requested equipment, assigned layout and stroller capacity in writing. Its FAQ mentions family airport, round-trip and hourly arrangements, but a published category is not proof that every quantity is available for every departure. Request an itemized quote so airport greeting and other optional services are not confused with the seat policy.
Seat count is not the same as a workable family vehicle
For a family transfer, describe the load as a whole. Two adults, two children, a double stroller, three checked bags and two carry-ons is more useful than “four passengers.” Ask about the assigned seating layout, access to occupied rows and the cargo space left after equipment is fitted.
Example booking brief: “We are arriving at LAX with two adults and two children. Here are each child’s age, height, weight and current restraint requirements. We have one folding stroller, three large suitcases and two carry-ons. Please confirm the restraint types and quantity, vehicle configuration, meeting instructions and complete total for both trips.” This is a planning template, not a recommendation for a particular restraint.
For equipment selection and installation, use NHTSA’s official car-seat guidance, the restraint manufacturer’s instructions and the vehicle manual. NHTSA provides links to installation help and inspection resources. A commercial comparison cannot determine the correct restraint or legal requirements for an individual child.
For an airport arrival, establish how you meet after baggage collection and who receives updates if your flight changes. Our LAX car service comparison goes deeper into meeting formats and waiting clocks. For a multi-stop day, review hourly chauffeur planning rather than assuming a transfer includes later rides.
Google reviews: useful context, not child-seat certification
The two verified ratings below reuse the direct Google Maps checks from our LA comparison series on September 9, 2026. They are business-level snapshots, not reviews restricted to family rides. We have not independently verified a matching local Google listing for the other three providers in this research.

“Not verified” does not mean no reviews exist. We have not converted website testimonials or self-published review badges into verified Google ratings. When you read reviews, look for the equipment actually supplied, communication about child details and handling of a mismatch. A positive ride review is not an inspection of a seat or a guarantee about your booking.
What to confirm before you pay
- Every child’s needs. Supply age, height, weight and restraint requirements separately rather than writing only “two car seats.”
- The actual equipment. Confirm type, quantity, availability and whether a particular model can be guaranteed. If it cannot, ask how compatibility will be established.
- Responsibility at pickup. Establish who installs, checks and adjusts the equipment and who secures each child, following applicable instructions and guidance.
- The complete load. Include all adults, checked bags, carry-ons, strollers and other bulky items when confirming a vehicle.
- Each leg’s terms. Review equipment charges, waiting, meeting format, cancellation and what happens if a requested item is unavailable.
- A written confirmation. Keep the child-seat requirements in the reservation record and reconfirm material changes before travel.
For a theme-park trip, settle the return meeting point and time before you leave the hotel. If another vehicle will handle the return, confirm that the same equipment requirements are included on that reservation too.
LA car service with car seats: common booking questions
Which Los Angeles car service is best for families with car seats?
Our publisher recommendation is True North VIP for itinerary-led planning. Kid Car, LAXcar, Blacklane and MGCLS are alternatives with different published equipment and booking policies. Choose only after your actual child, vehicle and cargo requirements are confirmed—not from a generic ranking alone.
Are child seats included with every vehicle?
No blanket assumption is safe. For example, LAXcar’s published supplied-seat policy is SUV-only, and Blacklane’s policy refers to pre-booked services. Confirm the equipment and applicable charges for the exact reservation, including the return leg.
Can I arrange an infant seat?
Some providers explicitly advertise infant-seat options; others limit what they supply. Lansky’s services page says infant seats are not provided. Describe your child’s requirements before selecting a provider and obtain confirmation of a suitable arrangement rather than treating “car seat available” as enough.
Can a vehicle carry three child seats and our luggage?
That depends on the actual vehicle, restraints, adult passengers and cargo. Kid Car advertises up to three seats, but your complete configuration still needs confirmation. Ask for an arrangement that accounts for all passengers and luggage together.
Should I bring my own car seat?
Ask the provider about its policy, vehicle compatibility, installation responsibilities and space for the equipment. Bringing a seat does not remove the need to follow its instructions and confirm the transport arrangement. For individualized fitting questions, use qualified installation assistance.
