Your Staten Island pickup
Your chauffeur picks you up at the exact Staten Island address you enter: a house in Todt Hill or Tottenville, an apartment in St. George, the ferry terminal or a hospital entrance. Add the entrance, the gate or a cross street in the booking notes. For larger places, name the building or the door.
| Staten Island pickup | Pickup tip |
|---|---|
| St. George Ferry Terminal | Say you are coming off the ferry, and give the ferry time if you can |
| Staten Island University Hospital | Name the building and the entrance, as hospital drives get busy |
| Staten Island Mall | Name the store entrance or the side of the mall |
| South Shore homes | Give the house number and the nearest main road |
How long is the drive from Staten Island to JFK?
Without traffic, Staten Island to JFK is about 41 to 49 minutes and 23.5 to 29 miles, by routing estimates for the three trips below. It is one of the longer airport runs in the city, and the Staten Island Expressway, the bridge and the Belt Parkway all slow down at rush hour. Plan for more.
| Trip | Distance | Drive time without traffic |
|---|---|---|
| St. George Ferry Terminal to Terminal 4 | 25.3 mi | about 45 min (estimate) |
| Terminal 8 to the Staten Island Mall, arrival | 28.8 mi | about 49 min (estimate) |
| Staten Island University Hospital to Terminal 1 | 23.6 mi | about 41 min (estimate) |
Drive times are estimates (OSRM free-flow routing with no traffic, checked Oct 30, 2026). Traffic varies, and rush hour, weather, tunnel delays and airport construction add time.
When should I leave Staten Island for JFK?
Work back from the time your airline asks you to be at the airport, then add the drive estimate and a generous traffic buffer. The Verrazzano approach and the Belt Parkway are slow on weekday mornings and afternoons. If you are unsure, choose an earlier pickup; your pickup has a 15-minute grace period.
Which route does the chauffeur take, and what tolls apply?
From Staten Island, the chauffeur takes the Staten Island Expressway (I-278) east to the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, then the Belt Parkway along the Brooklyn shore to JFK. On the way home, the same road runs back to the bridge. The Belt Parkway is the main road, and the driver adjusts for traffic.
| Road or crossing | What it does on this trip | Toll |
|---|---|---|
| Staten Island Expressway (I-278) | East across the island to the bridge | No toll |
| Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge | Crosses the Narrows to Brooklyn | MTA toll in both directions |
| Belt Parkway | Along the Brooklyn shore to JFK | No toll |
| JFK Expressway or Van Wyck | Last miles to the terminals | No toll |
The Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge has been tolled in both directions since December 2020; for cars the toll is $7.46 with a New York E-ZPass, $9.79 mid-tier or $12.03 by mail (MTA). The toll is in your price, and the route stays outside the Manhattan Congestion Relief Zone.
Where will my chauffeur meet me when I land at JFK?
On the ride home, the meeting point comes first. The chauffeur tracks your flight into JFK, so you can collect your bags before you call. At Terminals 1, 4 and 8, the car meets you at the arrivals curb. At Terminals 5 and 7, take the free AirTrain to the Howard Beach lot, where the chauffeur meets you.
- Add your airline and flight number when you book. The chauffeur tracks the flight from takeoff.
- After landing, collect your bags and call 888-887-0324 or the chauffeur number in your booking.

How does waiting time work?
Waiting time depends on the pickup. Home, hotel and office pickups have a 15-minute grace period, after which waiting time applies. Airport arrivals have a 60-minute wait time after a domestic landing and a 90-minute wait time after an international landing, counted from when the flight lands, and every airport pickup includes flight tracking, so an early or late flight moves your pickup with it.

| Domestic flight arrival | 60 minutes after landing |
| International flight arrival | 90 minutes after landing |
