What is JFK New Terminal One?
JFK New Terminal One is the redevelopment on the current Terminal 1 site and former Terminals 2 and 3 sites. It is planned as a phased project, not a terminal travelers use today. For now, check in at the terminal listed for your flight and follow your airline's current instructions.
For today's trip, use the terminal shown in your airline's flight details.
When does JFK New Terminal One open?
The Port Authority expects the first phase in 2027, but it has not published an opening day. Use your airline's terminal assignment for the flight date, then follow its latest travel instructions. This keeps today's check-in and ground transportation tied to the terminal operating for your trip.
Older project references show a 2026 schedule. The current Port Authority page expects the first phase in 2027, while Air France's September 15, 2026 release separately gives 2027 for its move and announces a new lounge. Compare publication dates when reading project updates. Check official project updates again before booking a later trip.
Which airlines are announced for New Terminal One?
The March 2026 project announcement names airline commitments to New Terminal One, including Air France, KLM, Etihad and Korean Air. These are announced commitments, not a current operating roster; check your airline's latest terminal information for your flight.

| Korean Air | EVA Air | Air Serbia | SAS |
