Where will my chauffeur meet me at JFK?
The meeting point at JFK depends on your terminal. The chauffeur tracks your flight, so the pickup moves with the landing time. At Terminals 1, 4 and 8, the car meets you at the arrivals curb once you have your bags. At Terminals 5 and 7, take the free AirTrain to the Howard Beach lot, where the chauffeur meets you.
- Add your airline and flight number when you book. The chauffeur tracks the flight from takeoff.
- After landing, collect your bags and call 888-887-0324 or the chauffeur number in your booking.
- At Terminals 1, 4 and 8, walk out to the arrivals curb. At Terminals 5 and 7, take the free AirTrain to the Howard Beach lot, where the car meets you.
- With meet and greet ($25), the chauffeur waits inside the terminal with a name sign and walks you to the car.

How long is the drive from JFK to Midtown?
Without traffic, JFK to Midtown is about 28 to 31 minutes and 17 to 18.5 miles, by routing estimates for the three trips below. The Van Wyck and the Long Island Expressway are the slow parts at rush hour, and the tunnel or bridge into Manhattan adds more. Plan for more time on weekday afternoons.
| Trip | Distance | Drive time without traffic |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal 5 to Rockefeller Center | 17.9 mi | about 31 min (estimate) |
| Terminal 4 to the Marriott Marquis, Times Square | 18.4 mi | about 30 min (estimate) |
| Terminal 8 to The Plaza (Fifth Avenue) | 16.9 mi | about 28 min (estimate) |
Drive times are estimates (OSRM free-flow routing with no traffic, checked Oct 30, 2026). Traffic varies, and rush hour, weather, tunnel delays and airport construction add time.
Which route does the chauffeur take, and what tolls apply?
From JFK, the chauffeur takes the Van Wyck Expressway north to the Long Island Expressway, then crosses into Manhattan. For Times Square and Midtown in the 30s and 40s, the Queens-Midtown Tunnel is usually quickest. For The Plaza and the East 50s and 60s, the Queensboro Bridge, with no toll, is often better.
| Road or crossing | What it does on this trip | Toll |
|---|---|---|
| Van Wyck Expressway (I-678) | North from the JFK terminals | No toll |
| Long Island Expressway (I-495) | West toward Manhattan | No toll |
| Queens-Midtown Tunnel | Into the East 30s, then crosstown | MTA toll in both directions |
| Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge | Into the East 50s and 60s | No toll |
The MTA tolls the Queens-Midtown Tunnel in both directions (MTA), while the Queensboro Bridge is free. Midtown below 60th Street is in the MTA Congestion Relief Zone, where black car trips carry a $0.75 charge per trip (MTA). Any of these is in your price.
Car service, train or taxi from JFK to Times Square?
Transit to Midtown starts with the AirTrain, which charges its own fare. From Jamaica, take the E train toward Midtown, or the LIRR to Penn Station or Grand Central Madison with a CityTicket. A car goes from the terminal to your hotel in one ride, with your bags.
| Option | Door to door | Transfers | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private car service | Yes, terminal to your hotel or office | None | Bags, families, late arrivals |
| AirTrain and E train | No | AirTrain, then subway | Light luggage, flexible time |
| AirTrain and LIRR | No, ends at Penn Station or Grand Central Madison | AirTrain, then LIRR | Light luggage near those stations |
| Taxi | Yes, from the taxi stand | None | No booking; set fare plus tolls, tip and fees |

Where will the chauffeur drop me in Times Square and Midtown?
Times Square is busy at the curb, so the drop-off point matters. Broadway through Times Square has pedestrian plazas, so cars stop on side streets or at hotel entrances. Rockefeller Plaza and Fifth Avenue have their own entrances. Give the hotel or building name and entrance, and the chauffeur goes to the closest legal stop.
| Midtown drop-off | Tip |
|---|---|
| Times Square hotels such as the Marriott Marquis | Give the hotel name; the car uses the hotel entrance or a side street |
| Rockefeller Center | Name the building or the street side, such as Sixth Avenue |
| The Plaza and Fifth Avenue hotels | Give the hotel name; the car uses the main entrance |
| Offices in the 40s and 50s | Add the lobby entrance and cross street in the notes |
How does waiting time work?
Waiting time depends on the pickup. Home, hotel and office pickups have a 15-minute grace period, after which waiting time applies. Airport arrivals have a 60-minute wait time after a domestic landing and a 90-minute wait time after an international landing, counted from when the flight lands, and every airport pickup includes flight tracking, so an early or late flight moves your pickup with it.
| Pickup type | Grace period or wait time |
|---|---|
| Regular pickup (home, hotel, office) | 15 minutes |
| Domestic flight arrival | 60 minutes after landing |
| International flight arrival | 90 minutes after landing |
| Flight tracking | Included on airport pickups |
See the wait time policy for the full terms, and add meet and greet if you want the chauffeur inside the terminal.
Match the vehicle to passengers and luggage.
Match the vehicle to your group and bags. An Executive Sedan seats 2 and a Luxury Sedan seats 3, for light luggage. Both SUV classes seat 6 and suit families or several large suitcases after a long flight. For a group arriving together, the Jet Sprinter seats 10 and the Executive Sprinter seats 13.
| Vehicle class | Passengers | Child seats | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive Sedan | Up to 2 | Not available | One or two riders with light luggage |
| Luxury Sedan | Up to 3 | Not available | Clients and special nights for up to three |

| Child seat | $25 each | SUVs and Sprinters only, not sedans |
| Meet and greet | $25 | Added to an airport arrival |

Read the child seat policy and our family car service page.
Can I book a multi-leg trip?
Yes. A multi-leg trip puts several stops or legs on one booking, such as a hotel check-in near Times Square, then dinner on the Upper East Side. Add each stop at /book and the all-in price covers the whole trip. If the car should wait at a stop, hourly service at $120 per hour, 3-hour minimum, may fit better.
