Your Bronx pickup
Your chauffeur picks you up at the exact Bronx address you enter: a house in Riverdale or Pelham Bay, an apartment on the Grand Concourse, a campus gate or a hospital entrance. Add the entrance, a gate or a cross street in the booking notes. For larger places, name the building or the door.
| Bronx pickup | Pickup tip |
|---|---|
| Yankee Stadium | Name the gate; game days close lanes on River Avenue and 161st Street |
| Montefiore Medical Center | Name the building and the entrance, as hospital drives get busy |
| Fordham University | Give the campus and the gate, such as Rose Hill on Fordham Road |
| Riverdale and Pelham Bay homes | Give the house number and the nearest main road |
How long is the drive from the Bronx to JFK?
Without traffic, the Bronx to JFK is about 31 to 34 minutes and 19 to 21 miles, by routing estimates for the three trips below. Every route crosses the water into Queens and then runs down the Van Wyck, so bridge traffic and the Van Wyck decide the time. Rush hours and game days add more.
| Trip | Distance | Drive time without traffic |
|---|---|---|
| Yankee Stadium to Terminal 4 | 18.8 mi | about 31 min (estimate) |
| Terminal 8 to Fordham University, arrival | 19.7 mi | about 31 min (estimate) |
| Montefiore Medical Center to Terminal 5 | 20.7 mi | about 34 min (estimate) |
Drive times are estimates (OSRM free-flow routing with no traffic, checked Oct 30, 2026). Traffic varies, and rush hour, weather, tunnel delays and airport construction add time.
When should I leave the Bronx for JFK?
Work back from the time your airline asks you to be at the airport, then add the drive estimate and a traffic buffer. The bridges and the Van Wyck are slow on weekday afternoons and before holidays, and JFK construction can add time at the terminals. If you are unsure, choose an earlier pickup.
Which route does the chauffeur take, and what tolls apply?
From the South and West Bronx, the chauffeur usually takes the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87) to the RFK Bridge, then the Grand Central Parkway and the Van Wyck. From the East and North Bronx, the Bronx River Parkway or I-95 lead to the Whitestone or Throgs Neck Bridge. The driver picks by traffic.
| Road or crossing | What it does on this trip | Toll |
|---|---|---|
| Major Deegan Expressway (I-87) | South and West Bronx to the RFK Bridge | No toll |
| RFK Bridge | Bronx to Queens via Randalls Island | MTA toll in both directions |
| Whitestone or Throgs Neck Bridge | East and North Bronx to Queens | MTA toll in both directions |
| Van Wyck Expressway (I-678) | Last miles to the JFK terminals | No toll |
The MTA tolls the RFK, Whitestone and Throgs Neck Bridges in both directions; for cars the toll is $7.46 with a New York E-ZPass, $9.79 mid-tier or $12.03 by mail (MTA). The toll is in your price, and these routes stay outside the Manhattan Congestion Relief Zone.
Where will my chauffeur meet me when I land at JFK?
On the ride home, the meeting point comes first. The chauffeur tracks your flight into JFK, so you can collect your bags before you call. At Terminals 1, 4 and 8, the car meets you at the arrivals curb. At Terminals 5 and 7, take the free AirTrain to the Howard Beach lot, where the chauffeur meets you.
- Add your airline and flight number when you book. The chauffeur tracks the flight from takeoff.
- After landing, collect your bags and call 888-887-0324 or the chauffeur number in your booking.

How does waiting time work?
Waiting time depends on the pickup. Home, hotel and office pickups have a 15-minute grace period, after which waiting time applies. Airport arrivals have a 60-minute wait time after a domestic landing and a 90-minute wait time after an international landing, counted from when the flight lands, and every airport pickup includes flight tracking, so an early or late flight moves your pickup with it.
| Pickup type | Grace period or wait time |
|---|---|
| Regular pickup (home, hotel, office) | 15 minutes |
| Domestic flight arrival | 60 minutes after landing |
| International flight arrival | 90 minutes after landing |
