Chelsea Car Service: Manhattan's Art District, Street by Street
Chelsea is Manhattan's creative district — a neighborhood defined by world-class galleries, a reimagined elevated rail park, one of the city's best food halls, and a 28-acre waterfront sports complex. True North VIP provides professional car service tuned to the specific pickup and drop-off logistics each attraction demands.
The High Line is an elevated public park built on a historic freight rail line, stretching from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District north to West 34th Street near Hudson Yards. Street-level entrances at 14th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th Streets are the most common meet points for our chauffeurs. Chelsea Market at 75 Ninth Avenue (between 15th and 16th Streets) is a food hall and retail destination housed in the former Nabisco factory. Pickups happen on Ninth Avenue or the adjacent side streets. Chelsea Piers, the 28-acre waterfront sports village between 17th and 23rd Streets along the Hudson River, has its own vehicle entrance off the West Side Highway at Pier 62.
Beyond the headline attractions, Chelsea's gallery corridors — concentrated on West 20th through 27th Streets between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues — generate steady evening and weekend demand for car service. Whether you need an airport transfer from your Chelsea hotel, an hourly chauffeur for a gallery crawl and dinner, or a point-to-point ride from Chelsea Market to your next stop, our vetted chauffeurs and flat-rate pricing make it simple.
Chelsea Areas We Cover
Gallery corridors, main avenues, High Line access zones, the market district, and the waterfront — our chauffeurs know every block.
Gallery Corridors
W 20th–27th St between 10th & 11th Ave
- Gagosian, Pace, David Zwirner, Hauser & Wirth, and 300+ galleries
- Thursday evening openings — highest curbside demand of the week
- Cross-street staging avoids Tenth/Eleventh Ave commercial truck traffic
- Combined gallery-and-dinner itineraries with hourly chauffeur service
High Line Access Zones

- 14th St entrance — connects to the Meatpacking District
- 16th St entrance — closest to Chelsea Market
- 23rd St entrance — central Chelsea residential area
- 30th St entrance — links to Hudson Yards and The Vessel
Chelsea Market Area
75 Ninth Ave (15th–16th St)
- Ninth Avenue frontage — primary pedestrian entrance and pickup zone

- 15th and 16th Street side streets for overflow staging

- Hudson River Park bike path and waterfront parks nearby
High Line Pickups
Plan your pickup before peak foot traffic. The High Line draws over 8 million visitors annually, and the street-level entrances get crowded — a precise meet point makes the difference.
How It Works
- Tell us your exit entrance — e.g. "meet at the 16th Street entrance area" or "I'll come down at 23rd Street."
- Chauffeur stages on the cross street — not on the avenue. This avoids bus lanes and no-standing zones on Tenth Avenue.
- Text when you're descending — your chauffeur pulls to the curb for a curbside meet within one to two minutes.
Backup Cross Streets
If your preferred entrance is crowded or under construction, our chauffeurs know the nearest alternative:
- Gansevoort St — southern terminus, Meatpacking District side
- W 14th St — busiest entrance, dual staircase and elevator
- W 16th St — quieter, directly above Chelsea Market
- W 23rd St — mid-Chelsea, residential approach from the east
- W 30th St — connects to Hudson Yards and the Spur viewpoint
Chelsea Market Pickups
Official address: 75 Ninth Avenue, between 15th and 16th Streets. Over 35 food vendors, retail shops, and the main Google NYC office occupy this converted factory building.
Ninth Avenue Exit (East Side)
The primary pedestrian entrance faces Ninth Avenue. Our chauffeur stages on the southbound side of Ninth Avenue near the 15th Street corner, or on 15th Street itself if the avenue is congested. This is the best meet point for most visitors since the main hall runs east-west and deposits you onto Ninth Avenue.
Tenth Avenue Exit (West Side)
The Tenth Avenue exit faces the High Line and the Hudson River. If you are heading west or connecting to the High Line's 16th Street entrance, this exit is more convenient. Our chauffeur approaches via northbound Tenth Avenue and pulls over near 16th Street. Note that Tenth Avenue is one-way northbound, so allow a moment for the car to reach you.
Pro tip: On weekends between 11 AM and 4 PM, Chelsea Market is at its busiest. Exiting onto a side street (15th or 16th) rather than directly onto Ninth Avenue makes for a faster, calmer pickup.
Chelsea Piers & Waterfront
The 28-acre waterfront complex between 17th and 23rd Streets houses bowling alleys, golf driving ranges, ice skating rinks, a gymnastics center, and event spaces — all directly on the Hudson River.
Vehicle Entrance
Enter from the West Side Highway (Route 9A) at the Pier 62 entrance. Our chauffeurs drive into the complex and stage at the passenger pickup circle rather than idling on the highway shoulder.
Sports Gear
Heading to or from golf, bowling, or hockey? Let us know at booking if you are carrying clubs, bags, or equipment so we can assign an SUV with enough cargo space. No surcharge for gear — just specify when you reserve.
Event Spaces
Chelsea Piers hosts private events, corporate outings, and galas on the waterfront. For group transportation, our Sprinter vans seat up to 14 guests. Coordinate drop-off and pickup times with your event schedule.

Your quote is locked at booking. No surge during gallery openings, Chelsea Market rush hours, or rainy weekends. The price you see is the price you pay.
Flight Tracking
Provide your flight number at booking. Our system tracks arrivals from JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark and dispatches your chauffeur based on actual landing time.
Free Cancellation
Cancel or modify up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup at no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a partial charge. No-shows are charged the full fare.
Child Seats
Rear-facing, forward-facing, and booster seats available for $25 each. Select during booking and specify ages. Seats arrive pre-installed and safety-checked.
Why Reserve in Chelsea
Chelsea's high foot traffic and popular attractions create consistent demand for car service. Reservations avoid the availability problems that come with trying to hail a ride on the spot.
Gallery Nights
Thursday and Saturday evenings see hundreds of visitors pouring out of gallery openings on West 20th-27th Streets. Rideshare surge pricing spikes. A reserved car at a set time eliminates the wait and the price uncertainty.
High Line Peak Hours
Weekend afternoons and summer evenings draw thousands to the High Line. Finding any car near the Gansevoort or 14th Street entrances during peak hours is a challenge. Pre-booked service means your chauffeur is already staged at your chosen exit.
Chelsea Market Weekends
Ninth Avenue between 14th and 16th becomes extremely congested on Saturdays. A booked car with a confirmed meet point on a side street gets you moving without fighting for curbside space on the avenue.
